HP Scitex FB500 & FB700

The HP Scitex FB500 and FB700 are the latest additions to the Scitex range of printers offered by HP. In contrast to many other flatbed printers available on the market, these machines have a belt drive system rather than a static bed. Because these printers do not have unwieldy flatbeds, they are ideal for businesses that do not have the vast amount of space required by a standard flatbed printer.

The belt drive system incorporated into the FB range printers greatly improves workflow and efficiency by enabling you to instantly add more media to the printer while the first batch is still being printed. Also, because of the nature of the belt drive system there is no need to mask off areas of the bed prior to printing which means you save a great deal of time.

In the mouth of the printer an automatic alignment bar helps you quickly position media on the bed. Once the media is loaded the printer measures its thickness and an onboard camera detects its position so that the printer knows exactly where to print, even if the media is staggered!
